After taking a break for a year, the Chevy Trax is back on the market. This SUV returns as a larger and more advanced model. At our Framingham Chevrolet dealership, we know our customers will appreciate its extra features.
Chevrolet initially introduced the Trax as a compact vehicle. It's still on the smaller side, but it now has much more interior space. It's wider and considerably longer than the older version, with the difference in length being 11 inches. Rear-seat passengers can enjoy a few extra inches of legroom, and the cargo area has expanded. Its maximum cargo capacity is about 12 percent greater than previous versions.
On the outside of the new Chevy Trax, there is so much to appreciate. The Chevy bowtie in the front grille will catch your eye, and so will the slim LED headlights and available high-eye LED daytime running lamps. A muscular frame gives the Trax a striking appearance, and the wheels can measure up to 19 inches.
Technology and Safety Innovations
The cabin comes nicely equipped for your trips around Hopkinton. The lower trims feature eight-inch color touchscreens, while the others have an upgraded 11-inch color touchscreen. With either of these touchscreens, you can utilize Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, and Wi-Fi capability, so you can have access to so many programs when you're traveling around Ashland. In addition, the Trax offers a digital instrument cluster that can keep you updated about performance and other important data. That digital instrument cluster measures 3.5 inches on the lower trims and eight inches on the higher ones. Additional premium components that can be part of the infotainment system include a wireless charging pad, multiple USB ports, and voice recognition.
Chevy has integrated high-tech safety systems into the Trax to protect its customers and those around them. Every new Trax is complete with an impressive set of driver-assist mechanisms, including automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, and pedestrian braking. Thanks to lane keep assist with lane departure warning, you can stay centered in your lane. Sometimes, it can be hard to see vehicles around you, and that's why it's great that the Trax has available blind-spot and rear cross-traffic alert warnings.
Trim Level Options for 2024
The 2022 Trax was only available in two trims, the LS and LT. For the 2024 model year, Chevrolet has expanded its offerings. You can choose from the LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ.
The LS has a very competitive starting price, especially since it comes equipped with driver-assist technologies and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. With the 1RS, the design team has focused on style. This trim features unique RS badging and a special grille, along with black Chevy emblems, two-tone wheels, and red accents inside the cabin. The LT comes in just above the 1RS in the lineup, and it's the level at which the 11-inch touchscreen and eight-inch driver display become standard. Also, the LT benefits from a remote start function and automatic climate control.
The 2RS feels like an upgraded version of the 1RS, but it has 19-inch wheels, roof rails, the enhanced technology package, and Evotex seats. Evotex is stain-resistant cloth, and it looks stylish while being easy to clean. Another advantage of the 2RS is that it comes with a heated steering wheel. With the Activ, you can take advantage of a power-adjustable driver's seat with two-way lumbar control, so you'll stay more comfortable. This trim looks distinct with its black grille and titanium accents.
The 2024 Trax is ready to get to work on your behalf. Let us know if you would like more information about it or our great Chevrolet offers.
